Plot Summary:
Warner Bros. Pictures alerted us that The American Museum of the Moving Image has a unique online exhibit of navigable movie set panoramas from The Last Samurai, the epic December 5 film directed by Edward Zwick and starring Tom Cruise.
The film’s remarkable recreation of environments from Meiji-period Japan, in the late 1870s, can be explored through five panoramas. Also known online as ‘panos,’ they allow users to navigate a 360-degree photographic image using Apple Computer’s Quicktime VR technology.
While you’re viewing the panoramas you’ll also hear more of Hans Zimmer’s amazing score. New pictures and clips are included as well. Experience Taka’s tour, the hotel, the lecture room, Omura’s office and Taka’s garden by clicking here!
